The federal election, called by Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, took place on September 20. The different party leaders (Justin Trudeau for the Liberals, Erin O’Toole for the Conservatives, Jagmeet Singh for the New Democratic Party, Yves-François Blanchet for the Bloc Québécois and Annamie Paul for the Green Party) made this campaign very intense.
