Spatial Intersection

The Spatial Intersection tool is used to select map features of point, polyline or polygon layers by using the boundaries of another polygon layer.

The Spatial Intersection settings are:

	Pick the layer from which you want to select map features.
	Pick one of the Selection Tools.
	Activate the Spatial Intersection.
	Pick the layer you will use as a boundary to select map features.

The following example illustrates the difference between a direct selection and a selection with spatial intersection:
